TERMS & CONDITIONS
By accepting a quote through email or WhatsApp communication, you agree to the following terms and conditions, which are intended to ensure fairness and clarity for all parties.
1. QUOTATIONS & PRICING
1.1 All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date they’re issued.
1.2 If additional materials are needed or unexpected issues arise during the restoration process, these factors will be discussed with you.

2. APPOINTMENTS & LEAD TIMES
2.1 Consultations and assessments are by appointment only.
2.2 Estimated turnaround times are as follows:
- Minimum 14 working days for restoration or repair work
- Approximately six weeks for bespoke manufacturing projects
2.3 Weather conditions (with reference to drying times for stains or paint finishes), supplier delays, or unforeseen complications can affect the length of a job . Should a delay occur, you will be informed accordingly.

3. PAYMENTS
3.1 We accept: cash, EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer), or debit and credit cards.
3.2 A 50% deposit is required for all jobs quoted over R1,000 to confirm your booking. The balance is due on completion or before delivery.
3.3 All items remain the property of AJ Furniture and Restoration until paid for in full.
4. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
4.1 Cancellations should be communicated 48 hours prior to collection/delivery of the unfinished furniture piece/s.
4.2 Deposits are strictly non-refundable, irrespective of whether the cancellation occurs or if the final result does not meet your expectations.
4.3 Refunds will not be issued.
5. RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Given that the majority of the work undertaken is bespoke or tailored to the client's specific requirements, returns or exchanges are not offered.
6. DELIVERIES & COLLECTIONS
Own delivery or collection may be handled. Alternatively, transport can be arranged for an extra charge; inquire about this when making booking.
7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Every effort is made to ensure meticulous care on all projects; however, as with any manual work, inherent risks exist.
Responsibility will not be accepted for:
- Any indirect or consequential damage or loss
- Delays caused by factors beyond direct control, such as supplier problems, weather conditions, or power outages
- Damage related to pre-existing conditions, structural issues not disclosed, items not disclosed as fragile, damage upon delivery, and general wear and tear
- Any loss or damage occurring after collection or delivery, unless demonstrably due to negligence

8. GUARANTEE​
Quality is guaranteed for three months on all restoration, upholstery, and repair jobs. This covers faults arising from the work itself, but excludes damage resulting from normal usage, accidents, mishandling, or other external factors.

9. PRIVACY
Personal details provided will solely be used for communication regarding orders or projects. Information will not be shared with third parties.​
10. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
These Terms & Conditions may be updated periodically. The most current version will always be accessible on the website.
